Account security
1. Controlled access
Play89 members can only open one account, which they can only access by using their own unique username and password. We therefore recommend to our players to keep this information confidential.
2. Identity verification
All players who create a new account at Play89 must use their true identity and provide accurate contact information. In order to insure the integrity of our system, we frequently perform random identity checks. Any false information detected during these checks will lead to account closure.
Transaction security
We use an advanced and internationally accepted industry standard for data transfer security: SSL (Secure Socket Layer). This means that any information being exchanged between your computer and our server is protected at the same security level that banks and credit companies use.
Software security
All the information being transferred between a player's computer and our server is encrypted and any information exchanged between two players has to pass through our servers - so there is never a direct contact between two players' computers.
